Grant & Abby Bateson

Meet the main leads!

Grant and Abby have been the Senior Pastors of Liberty Church since October 2012. Before and during the first few years of pastoring Grant worked as an Operations Manager in a family building company and Abby was a Primary School teacher.

Grant has been in the Eastern Bay of Plenty for most of his life, whereas Abby moved to the Bay from Palmerston North in 2001. They first meet at a Liberty Church Life Group and got married in 2004. Grant and Abby have 3 children, Joseph, Tylah and Millie.

They have a passion to share the love of God and the word of God, a desire to see people live their life in freedom and blessing. They have a huge heart for the community and seeing God's kingdom come through the church and into the community.

Grant and Abby both love family, people, sports, the outdoors, hanging with friends, travelling and eating out.

Jim & Anneke

Shaw

Jim and Anneke are the previous pastors of Manukau New Life and are a part of the New Life executive team. Jim has a gift for teaching and they both now travel to many different churches preaching and strengthening leadership in their itinerant ministry. They have a real heart to see people reach their full potential in their relationship with Jesus.

Andrew & Jane Parrington

Andrew and Jane moved from Whakatane to Rotorua to help plant Living Well Church over 30 years ago, where they are currently the Senior Pastors. They are the regional leaders for New Life Church’s, Andrew is part of the New Life Exec team. They have a heart to help build Gods kingdom and to strengthen and encourage other church’s and leaders and to see them thrive.
